Arkansas Outside is NOT the owner or organizer of these events (unless otherwise noted). We aggregate these events into this one place to allow our readers a chance to see what outdoor recreation events are going on around the state. There is no need for FOMO when playing outside.

22nd Annual Buffalo Headwaters Challenge
The Buffalo Headwaters Challenge presented by Adventure Subaru is a three-day, all-inclusive, “off the grid” mountain bike festival. It includes 5 meals, libations, primitive tent and RV camping, live music, and amazing trails, highlighted by the annual “Challenge” ride on Saturday, January 30th, 2027. The “Challenge” ride consists of a 35-50 mile semi-supported back country mountain bike experience. It’s a ride, not a race… just finishing is winning. There will be bailout options.
IMPORTANT! This is our annual fundraiser for the club and goes a long way in providing the needed tools and materials that go into the 10,000 hours plus volunteers put in each year. A large portion of this years proceeds will go directly into trail maintenance at the headwaters. With that in mind this is a non refundable event. If weather becomes an issue we will reschedule event to a later date but will not be offering refunds. Thank you for your understanding.
All attendees will receive a pair of custom event socks.

We will have post ride yoga on Saturday.
Our friends with Ozark Gravel Cyclists will be leading and amazing gravel ride on Sunday.
-A limited number of primitive RV spots are available for an additional $25.00. (no hook ups, you are paying for the space)
