Harrison, Ark. – Buffalo National River will be installing a new water line to Steel Creek starting on Monday, July 29. As a result, the only road providing access to Steel Creek will be closed from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Access to the river and campground will be available at all other times, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
This project is expected to last through August. However, the park will reassess access to Steel Creek if river levels rise. For updates, please call the Tyler Bend Visitor Center at 870-439-2502.
