Little Rock, AR (July 11, 2024) – CARTI, a leading cancer care provider in Arkansas, announced today in a newsletter that the Tour de Rock cycling event held last month will be its final ride.

For over two decades, the Tour de Rock has been a pillar of the Arkansas cycling community, raising over $2 million for CARTI since its inception in 2003. The funds directly benefited patients battling cancer and supported CARTI’s mission of delivering advanced care.

“The Tour de Rock has been more than just a cycling event; it’s been a beacon of hope,” according to the newsletter. “We are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support we’ve received over the years from our dedicated cycling community, sponsors, committee members, and countless volunteers. Your passion and commitment have made a tremendous difference in the lives of countless Arkansans facing cancer.”

The decision to conclude the event wasn’t taken lightly. CARTI acknowledged it was a difficult choice made “after much deliberation.”

We extend our deepest appreciation to everyone who has played a role in its success, from the riders who pushed their limits on the course to the sponsors who believed in our cause and the volunteers whose tireless efforts made it all possible.”

In closing, CARTI expressed its sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to the Tour de Rock’s remarkable journey. “The generosity and spirit you’ve shown have left an indelible mark on our community and the patients we serve. Thank you for the unforgettable memories and the meaningful impact you’ve made in the fight against cancer.”
