The Law Offices of Alan LeVar and the University of Central Arkansas have partnered to collect children’s bike helmets and bikes to donate to Recycle Bikes for Kids. Bring your used bikes and children’s helmets to UCA’s November 3 game (at 6 PM) against Lamar University and the November 10 game (at 3 PM) against the University of the Incarnate Word!
You can also stop by the Law Offices of Alan LeVar Conway office at 505 E Dave Ward Drive Suite #2 to drop off your helmet or bike donations before November 10. If it’s easier to make your donations on game day, bring your donations to UCA’s ticket office to receive your free tickets.
Remember: helmet = 1 free ticket, bike = 2 free tickets.
10 Years and Counting: Recycled Bikes for Kids
Since 2008, Recycled Bikes for Kids has distributed over 14,000 bikes back into its community. With the generosity of individual and scrapyard donations as well as bike drives, the organization is able to provide bikes to kids throughout the community. Their one-of-a-kind and helpful volunteers fix up and shine the bikes so they can go to their new owners. The bikes are then given directly to kids throughout Little Rock through community events and organizations.
Through their “Earn a Bike” program, people ages, 16 and older can earn a bike by volunteering a certain number of hours. Whether they decide to use their bike for recreation or having a reliable mode of transportation to work, it’s a win-win situation!
