The International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA) is bringing its annual conference to Bentonville, Arkansas, this June. From June 24th to 29th, the event will be held at Thaden School, located at 800 S.E. C St.
“This conference allows first responder cyclists to develop both their personal and professional skills,” said Kalene Griffith, CEO and president of Visit Bentonville. “It also focuses on environmentally-friendly patrol methods to keep our communities safe.” The conference is a highly anticipated annual event, and Bentonville is excited to welcome attendees for the week.
The IPMBA conference offers a variety of training opportunities for bicycle patrol officers, instructors, and support staff. The Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Bicycle Technician Lab and Trail Technician program will host comprehensive certificate courses for instructors, maintenance personnel, police cyclists, EMS cyclists, security cyclists, and even combination teams. Additional courses cover bicycle response tactics, e-bike training, and becoming an IPMBA instructor.
Beyond the classroom, the conference will feature clinics led by mountain bike coaches from Bentonville’s The Ride Series, known for its top-notch rider training programs. The Bentonville Police Department will also play a major role throughout the week. In addition to the educational offerings, attendees can expect a product showcase, social events, and recreational rides. The conference concludes with a graduation ceremony and awards dinner on June 29th.
