Fleet Feet Little Rock

Jonesboro, Arkansas is gearing up for a new cycling event aimed at gravel enthusiasts and adventure seekers. The Skirmish – A Delta Gravel Festival, will be held May 29th through June 1st, 2025.

A Unique Blend of Challenge and Scenery

Organized by All Sports Productions, The Skirmish promises a four-day extravaganza featuring rides, festivities, and unforgettable experiences.

“From the rolling hills of Crowley’s Ridge to the sprawling farmlands of the Delta, this festival is an all-encompassing experience for anyone who loves the call of the open road”, said Bruce Dunn, CEO of All Sports Productions, the event organizer.

Two Stunning Terrains in One Ride

The centerpiece of the festival is a competitive cycling event showcasing two distinct landscapes. Participants will tackle the legendary Crowley’s Ridge, a natural marvel known for its rolling hills, offering a taste of the Ozark and Ouachita Mountain regions.

The adventure continues into the breathtaking Delta, with its wide-open farmlands and scenic flat roads. Aiding cyclists on this leg will be a helpful southwest tailwind, propelling them toward the finish line in downtown Jonesboro.

Event organizers describe the experience as “Over the ridge and through the fields.”

Local Collaboration and Historical Significance

Craig Rickert, executive director of Jonesboro Tourism & Visitors Bureau commented, “We are extremely excited to be working with All Sports Productions to bring a new and energetic cycling event and multi-day festival to town. In addition to attracting cyclists from around the region to visit Jonesboro, there will be many reasons for local residents to join the fun. It is also extremely exciting to see so many outstanding organizations come on board as sponsors of The Skirmish.”

The festival’s name, The Skirmish, pays homage to the 1862 Civil War skirmish that took place downtown on the grounds of the Craighead County Courthouse. This historical reference adds depth to an event already rich in natural beauty and local culture.
