The 13th Annual Gobbler Turkey Trot, hosted by Rock City Running, is moving to a new location this Thanksgiving. The race will now be held at the Market Place Shopping Center, located at 11121 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Suite 37B.
“To celebrate the 13th year, we moved the race to our west Little Rock location,” said Bill Torrey, owner of Rock City Running. “Most of our participants will remember this race being in The Heights. As the race continues to grow, it made sense to move the race to a location that accommodates parking for all participants.”

This year’s Gobbler Turkey Trot offers a variety of distances, including a 3-mile, 4-mile, and 6.5-mile option. Additionally, the popular Tom’s Tiny Trot will be held for children ages 0-8.
While participation in the Gobbler Turkey Trot is free, pre-registration is encouraged. Pre-registered participants will be automatically entered into multiple drawings for shoes. Shirts are available for purchase for $25. The event is also stroller and pet-friendly, welcoming runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
“We are excited to continue the Thanksgiving Day tradition in a new part of town, entirely on paved roads,” Torrey added.
