The Annual Little Rock Marathon is set to take place this coming Sunday, and temperatures are expected to be warmer than usual. According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature on Sunday will be 76 degrees Fahrenheit, which is higher than the normal average high of the 50s during this time of year. In light of this, Race Director Mike Garrity has announced that the race will start two hours early, at 6:00 am, with the early start commencing at 5:30 am. The purpose of this is to keep the runners in cooler temperatures. The race organizers also plan to provide additional ice and other cooling methods at the aid stations.
