Second Annual mountain bike event draws 900 participants from across the U.S.
The Second Annual Oz Trails Off-Road happens on October 11-13 in one of the most talked-about new mountain bike communities in America, Northwest Arkansas. From beginner riders to seasoned professionals, Epic Rides Series events celebrate the mountain communities’ love of the outdoors, attracting folks from around the country for a good day on the bike.
The Oz Trails Off-Road is the grand finale for the 2019 Epic Rides Series season, where the Pro Men and Women will compete for a $62,000 cash purse; $2,000 of it handed out on Friday evening after the El Yucateco Fat Tire Criterium in downtown Bentonville, and $60,000 of it on Sunday in the V8 +Energy Backcountry Race.
Even for those who don’t ride mountain bikes, the Oz Trails Off-Road is still rich with activities for the whole family. Downtown Bentonville boasts a long list of top-rated restaurants as well as the Crystal Bridges Museum of Contemporary Art, a free-admission museum with stunning architecture and walking trails on beautifully maintained grounds. Families will also have a blast participating in the Shimano Kids’ Fun Ride on Sunday morning.
All weekend long the Bike Rack Brewing beer gardens will be pouring adult beverages, while free live music will keep the energy high, culminating with a much-anticipated performance from musical headliner, Samantha Fish, an award-winning blues guitarist.
