Fleet Feet Christmas Ad

The Race the Base Trail Run by Fleet Feet Little Rock at Pinnacle Mountain State Park had a first this year—rain! It poured on Friday night as crews marked the course. Fortunately, the weather gods took pity on the event, which had faced bitter cold, late-season heat, but always beautiful fall weather over its 12-year history, and mostly held off the rain during the race.

The Community Bicyclist

The post-race festivities included grilled hot dogs provided by the Little Rock Hash House Harriers and other volunteers, snacks, and, of course, FREE BEER from Flyway Brewing. The intermittent rain kept everyone sheltered in the pavilion, where they socialized and enjoyed each other’s company. Overall, it was another great race!

Below are a few photos from the race but you can find almost 500 on the Arkansas Outside Flickr Page. Feel free to download, share, and comment. Please tag #AROutside, #RacetheBase, and FleetFeetLR when you do. And yes, we had several jumpers. Results can be found here.
