Section of Razorback Greenway to close temporarily for trail repair

Hex Carbon Repair

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Beginning Tuesday, March 5, a section of the Razorback Greenway just south of the Lake Fayetteville spillway bridge will be closed and detoured to replace a 150-foot-long section of cracked concrete.

The trail repair work is expected to take three weeks, depending on the weather.

This work will require rerouting the Razorback Greenway through Veterans Park and south along Vantage Drive to the Mud Creek Trail. Then, it will go west on the Mud Creek Trail to rejoin the Razorback Greenway near the intersection of N. Gregg Avenue and W. Van Asche Drive.

Detour signs will be installed to direct trail traffic and provide warning of adjacent work areas. Walkers, runners, and cyclists are asked to observe the detour and other signs on trails and provide adequate distance between themselves and construction work.

For more information about Fayetteville’s trail system, which is made up of 55 miles of shared-use paved trails and 57.5 of soft-surface trails, go to: https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/trails.
