We’re in luck! We are challenged with distancing ourselves from each other as much as possible these days. If you live in one of the major population areas in Arkansas, you already realize that the local parks and trails are getting crowded as your neighbors begin to share your love of being outside. But crowding into local parks is not the answer, we are all using the same facilities, we get too close to each other, plus many of us don’t go outside to be in a crowd. Lucky for us we have some incredible options. Remember our International Mountain Bicycling Association Epic Trails are still here to save the day.
Now before you head out to one of these gems, remember, the key is social distancing. Don’t all pile into one car. Bring a lunch and any food you may need. Many restaurants will be closed BUT, if they are offering pick up service give them a call and see if you can order something. These small businesses still need our support. Of course, bring water from home, make sure you’ve got plenty of gas as you might come across closed gas stations. Once you get to the woods, practice Leave No Trace ethics when doing your business behind a tree.
