Stretch of Fayetteville Trail Detoured for Construction

The Community Bicyclist

Effective Monday, April 29th, a portion of the Town Branch Trail will be closed and detoured as part of the 15th Street-Interstate 49 overpass project by the Arkansas Department of Transportation.

The closure is required to facilitate the installation of replacement water and sewer lines and vegetation clearing. The 0.75-mile stretch of the Town Branch Trail, from W. Best Way Street to S. Beechwood Ave., will remain closed until July.

During this time, trail users will be directed to use the sidewalks along S. Hollywood Ave. to 15th and then back to S. Beechwood to reconnect with the trail. To guide trail users and provide a warning of nearby work areas, detour signs will be installed. It is prudent for walkers, runners, and cyclists to observe these signs and maintain a secure distance from the construction work.
