USACE Waives Day-Use Fees Sept. 27 for National Public Lands Day

Ozark Outdoor Supply Summer

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get outside, next weekend delivers. On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Little Rock District) is waiving all day-use fees at its recreation areas in observance of National Public Lands Day.

What’s Free & What’s Not

  • Free access applies to boat launch ramps and swim beaches only.
  • Camping fees, specialized facility/event fees, and camping-related services are not included in the waiver.

Why It Matters

This gesture is part of a long tradition: the Little Rock District has taken part in and helped lead shoreline cleanup and public service initiatives for lakes and rivers in the region for nearly 50 years. In 1994, these efforts were folded into what we now celebrate as National Public Lands Day.
