Visitors can extend their adventure with access to nearby trails, perfect for hiking and biking, creating a unique combination of river and land-based activities. As Arkansas continues to expand its outdoor recreation infrastructure, WOKA Whitewater Park stands out as a must-visit destination for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike.

Big Rock Quarry’s Climbing Project
Earlier this month we reported on a visionary climbing project at Little Rock’s historic Big Rock Quarry that is shaping up to become a major attraction for climbing enthusiasts. Spearheaded by the Arkansas Climbers Coalition and local stakeholders, the project aims to transform the former quarry into a climbing haven featuring routes for all skill levels. With a focus on accessibility, safety, and sustainability, the initiative will preserve the quarry’s rugged beauty while fostering a vibrant climbing community. As plans progress, this project promises to position Little Rock as a key destination in Arkansas’ growing outdoor recreation scene.

A Hike to Big Bluff and the Goat Trail

Extra – We used Horseshoe Canyon Ranch as our base camp for this trip to Big Bluff. We enjoyed a cabin on this particular stay, but they also recently expanded their camping options. Of course, you can also enjoy hiking, climbing, and mountain biking at the ranch.
